Workshops and one-to-one training
I run workshops and one-to-one training for location work and photoshop processing throughout the Northwest of England.
My location work is primarily focused on subject, composition and interpretation.
Black and white or colour?
The choice is yours. Although my gallery site is predominantly black and white I do work in colour and embrace colour in my workshops.
Beginners field workshops - Concentrating on the basics of technique and developing vision.
Beginner Photoshop/Photoshop Elements training - Covering the basics and help you to ‘develop’ images and get the best from your shots.
Intermediate field workshops - some technical aspects will be covered, but I expect you’ll know the workings of your camera better than I do. I’ll be most interested in working on vision and how to see photographs, pre-visualisation and interpretation of a scene. I’ll be assessing your current level, and how to take you forward.
Intermediate photoshop training - at intermediate level, my expertise will be of interest to those specialising in black and white photography.
Locations
I run workshops throughout the Lake District and Northwest England.
Alternative locations
I travel to other areas by arrangement, but may be dependent on your local knowledge rather than mine! These shoots could prove ideal exploration subjects, how to approach a new subject.
After the workshop
We will have some form of debrief at the end of a workshop. I will also want to follow up the workshop by including some analysis and chat on the shots you take.
Costs:
One-to-one days start at £180, shorter sessions are charged at £35 per hour, useful for a quick photoshop session or local shoot.
Flexible group workshops:
You organise your own group and date:
£250 for two people
£300 for three people
£350 for four
£400 for a maximum of five people.
Flexible group workshops:
Fixed dates and locations with a fixed price of £100 per head, max 5 people.
